Privacy Policy

About this policy
This policy explains data handling in the Sidefolk app and on its website. Sidefolk is provided by Marcin Jędrzejak. For privacy questions, contact maartinjdev@gmail.com.
Conversations and on-device data
Sidefolk does not require an account. Conversations, agents, settings, and saved images are stored locally. In local mode, Apple’s model processes content on your device. The app does not send conversations to a developer server and contains no advertising or developer analytics tools.
Optional cloud processing
When you choose Private Cloud Compute features, content needed for a response — including messages, selected photos, and tool results — may be sent to Apple’s infrastructure. This mode requires internet access. Apple describes its processing and safeguards in the Private Cloud Compute documentation linked below.
Permissions and tools
Selected features can use contacts, calendars, reminders, the camera, photos, and Health data such as steps, sleep, and workouts. Access depends on the permissions you grant and the feature you use. Tools can create events and reminders; the Health integration is read-only. You can change permissions in system settings. Health data is not used for advertising or marketing.
Purchases and support
Apple handles purchases and subscriptions. The app checks Pro access through StoreKit; the developer does not receive your card details. If you email me, I receive your address and message to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for support.
Website data
The website saves your manually selected language and theme in browser local storage. Clear the site’s data to remove these preferences. The hosting provider may process technical data such as IP addresses, browser information, and page requests to deliver and secure the site. Apple and email links take you to separate services with their own privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app. Device backups may retain earlier data according to your Apple settings. Events and reminders created in system apps must be deleted separately. I retain support correspondence as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute.
Your rights and security
Where data protection law applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of data I process, and object or complain to a competent supervisory authority, including Poland’s UODO. Support processing is based on responding to your request and the legitimate interest in providing support; legal obligations may require retaining some data. I cannot access local conversations on your device. No storage or transmission method guarantees absolute security.
Children and policy updates
Sidefolk is not directed to children under 13. Follow the age restrictions shown in the App Store. If you believe a child provided personal data through support, contact me so I can delete it. Changes to the app or website may require updates to this policy; the current revision date appears above.
